Thermal Valley

Thermal Valley is one of the sources supplying hot springs in Beitou. The sulfuric steam that blankets the valley year-round gives the valley a frightening quality, giving rise to nicknames like “Ghost Lake.” With its surreal sulfuric atmosphere, Thermal Valley was considered one of the “12 great sights of Taiwan” during the Period of Japanese Occupation!

Xiaoyoukeng

Xiaoyoukeng is a post-volcanic geological landscape area and is located on Mt. Qixing's northwestern foot. It is approximately 805 meters above sea level and is famed for the fumaroles, sulfur crystals, hot springs and spectacular “landslide terrain” formed by post-volcanic activity.

Flower Clock

The centerpiece of Yangmingshan National Park nearby the visitor center and main bus station, Yangming Park is one of the first stops that visitors often make while exploring Yangmingshan. Sized at 1.07SQ KM., the park contains a Chinese-style garden with elegant buildings, pavilions kiosks, streams, fountains and ponds for visitors to relax and enjoy the cooler climate.

Yangmingshan Guangfu Building

Guangfu Building is cozily nestled in thick woods. This sumptuously decorated, two-story Chinoiserie structure was completed in 1971 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution. When the flowers are in full bloom, the building becomes an island in a sea of cherry blossom petals.
